Lori Ann Montoya, 48, a resident of Ranchitos, NM, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Pauline Gurule and Fred Montoya, her one and only brother, Fred E. Montoya Jr., grandfathers Thomas Montoya and Robert Gurule, father-in-law Tony Martinez Sr., brother-in-law Toby Martinez, aunt JoAnn Martinez, uncle David Gurule, close cousins Renee and Janet Chavez, and James and Daija Fernandez.

Lori met the love of her life, Tony Martinez Jr. at a young age. They brought 3 beautiful children into this world, which brought her so much joy. She soon became a grandmother to 6 amazing grandchildren whom she loved more than anything in this world. She was the life of the party who loved to sing and dance, especially with her grandchildren. She always found a way to bring a smile to your face, especially to her family and friends whom she loved dearly. Although Lori fought through sickness for over 10 years, she remained strong and fought to the very end.

Lori is survived by her loving partner of 34 years, Tony Martinez Jr., her children Michelle Montoya (Julian), Jessica Montoya (Rafael), Chris Martinez (Nichole), her grandchildren Alyssa and Nathaniel Alire, Jordan Lopez, Destiny, Jesse, and Faith Maldonado, grandmother Ruth Gurule, uncle Norman Gurule, aunt Irene Gurule, and special aunt Christine and uncle Johnny Chavez, best friend who was like a sister, Victoria Dallas-Romero (Ray), mother-in-law Mary Martinez, sisters-in-law Judy Archuleta (Anthony), Jennifer Martinez, Sandy Madigan (Jason), Debra Martinez (Aaron), brothers-in-law Ben and Tommy Martinez, God-brother Matthew Martinez, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Jordan Lopez, Rafael Maldonado, Julian Martinez, Noah Montoya, Raymond Romero, and Ben Martinez. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Victoria Dallas- Romero, Conrad Espinoza, Johnny Chavez, Roberta Padilla, and Valerie Montano.

Visitation for Lori will be on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Rivera Family Funeral Home of Espanola from 5PM-630PM. The holy rosary will be prayed thereafter at 7PM. Mass will be held the following day at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Dixon beginning at 11AM. Interment will follow the mass at Father Kupper’s Cemetery in Dixon.
