Lorraine Martinez

Lorraine Ann Martinez, age 59, resident of Santa Fe, NM, passed away on September 18, 2019. She was born on December 14, 1959 in Santa Fe to Margaret O. Martinez and Daniel Martinez, Jr.

She is preceded in death by her father Daniel, her brother Leroy Martinez, and her nephew Isaiah Martinez.

She is survived by her mother Margaret; brother Loren (Trish) Martinez; daughters Jessica (Robert) Ortiz and Violet (Sixto De Aguero) Miera; grandchildren Brandie Sena, Jacob Miera De Aguero, Alex De Aguero, Anthony Ortiz, Jeremiah Ortiz, and Alyssa Ortiz; step children Lori (Benji) Martinez and Darrol (Melinda) Miera; sister-in-law Johanna Martinez; nieces and nephews Iisha (Anthony) Barnes, James Martinez, Lee Martinez, Derek Martinez, Julian (Vandora) Martinez, Estevan Martinez; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lorraine was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM. She was a loving and amazing mother and grandmother to her two daughters and grandchildren. She loved life and her family, and she loved cooking for everyone she knew. She always made herself, her home, and her time available for helping others. She was a safe place for her loved ones. Her laughter was contagious and she loved music, dancing, and having a good time. She will be deeply missed.

Memorial Services for Lorraine will be held on Thursday, September 26th, 2019 at 10:00am at Rivera Family Funeral Home’s Kiva Chapel of Light. Burial will follow at Rosario Cemetery, and reception will take place after the burial at St. Anne Parish Hall.
