Louise R. Dice, 85, of Arroyo Seco passed away April 24, 2010. Louise was born on April 7, 1925 to Laurens Hawn Reyburn & Catherine Christman Reyburn in Oakland, CA. She spent her youth in San Francisco and graduated from Lowell High School. After working for Standard Oil she joined the United States Marine Corps and served for 3 years during WWII. After an honorable discharge she returned to CA and enrolled at Stanford University where she met her husband, Richard C. Dice. They married on June 12, 1948. Louise graduated from Stanford in 1953 with three sons and a degree in English. Louise moved to Denver and had daughter Kathleen, worked as an office manager for Congressman Tim Wirth and later the Western States Governors policy Organization. In 1979 she retired with Richard to Taos and was the President of Friends of the Taos Library. Under Louises leadership the current Taos Library was made a reality. She is survived by loving husband Richard Dice, sons Michael R. Dice, Christopher M. Dice (Christine), Timothy P. Dice and Kathleen Brown (Jeffrey) sister Kathy Burke and brother Laurens H. Reyburn Jr., 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
Funeral mass was held on April 27, 2010 at Holy Trinity Church in Arroyo Seco. Interment was held at the Arroyo Seco Cemetery.
