Louise A. Sanchez died in the early morning hours of Friday July 8, 2022. Louise, 95, was born January 2, 1927 in Pagosa Springs, Colorado to Jose Ignacio and Ascension Archuleta. She and her parents moved to Llaves, New Mexico when she was a toddler.
In her early years she went to school with the nuns in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Louise moved back to Llaves as a teenager to be with family. In 1945 she and the family moved to Espanola. At the age of 18 she started her short career in the food industry.
In 1949 she met and married Maclovio (Max) Sanchez, and they made their home in Hernandez, NM. They were married for 55 years. Louise was an avid gardener proud to show off her garden. She loved to cook, always making the holidays extra special. Love for her family was without measure.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband Maclovio Sanchez. Her father Jose Ignacio Archuleta, her mother and stepfather Ascension and Juan I. Gallegos, brother Joe, infant sisters Ignacita and Loyola Archuleta, In-Laws Reginaldo and Ascension Sanchez, Brother-In-Laws, Abel Serrano, Sammy, Orlando and Joe Sanchez, Ron Smith, Jake Serna, and Carl Bailey.
Louise is survived by her son Gilbert (Rebecca) Sanchez, four daughters Sennie Archuleta, Ruby Ann Archuleta, Viola and Lori Sanchez, two grandchildren Daniel Sanchez and Maleea Medina, two great grandchildren Erika and Jaylynn Medina, Four sisters Ann Serrano, Benita, Della and Cathy, sister-in-laws Cecilia Archuleta and Georgia S. Morena, brothers Chris, Alex, Tino (Gloria) and James (Dolores), brother-in-law Cornelio Sanchez as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives.
Services will take place on Wednesday July 20, 2022 at 12:00 PM at The Sacred Heart Church in Espanola, NM. Burial will take place on Thursday July 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM at The Santa Fe National Cemetery.
