Louis E. “Louie” Duran, 86, of Taos passed away on November 21, 2015. He is preceded in death by his wife, Oralia A. Duran, parents, Serapio and Bertha Duran, brothers, Adelaido and Serapio Duran Jr., sisters, Viola Barela, Josie Martinez and Rose Valdez. He is survived by children, Lawrence Duran (Ofelia), Jimmy Duran (Mannie), Linda Duran and Louise Fernandez (Mike), 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, James Duran (Consuelo), Mary Medina, Bobby Duran (Cleo), Dolly Martinez, Deena Varos (Toby), Patsy Welch (Russ), sisters in-law, Cecilia Trujillo, Suzie Martinez, Lorraine Romero and Mary Valdez, along with other numerous relatives and friends.Rosary will be recited on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 7 PM at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11 AM at San Francisco Asis Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3 PM.
