Louis Martinez

Louis Martinez, 78, a resident of Fairview passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Tuesday January 29, 2013. Louis served in the armed forces and he worked as a manager at the Safeway Store in Espanola. For numerous years, Louis raised and owned thoroughbred horses and enjoyed horse racing all through the state. He was preceded in death by his son Leonard Martinez; parents Santiago and Anita Martinez; a brother Precillano Martinez. Louis is survived by his wife, Marie Antonette Martinez; brother Milfred Martinez; sons Louis Michael Martinez and wife Janet; Joseph Martinez; daughter, Louanna Martinez; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Services were held at the Lighthouse Church of Chimayo on February 2, 2013. Burial took take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on February 4, 2013.
