Lourdes A. Rendon, age 102, went to be with the Lord at home on Sunday, January 29 with family by her side. Lourdes was born on January 5, 1915.
She was a lifelong faithful Catholic and member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Dixon, New Mexico. Lourdes served as a Eucharist Minister after her retirement from Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Lourdes was preceded in death by her husband, Hipolito Rendon; son, Arturo Aaron Rendon; Parents, Juan de La Cruz Archuleta and Socorro Archuleta; Sisters, Alcarita Archuleta and husband Guadalupe Archuleta, Mary Gonzales and husband Joe A. Gonzales; Brothers: Patricio Archuleta, Dennis Archuleta and wife Anita; and Horacio Archuleta.
She is survived by daughter, Grace Martinez and husband, Lebeo Martinez; Son, Michael Rendon; Grandchildren, Dr. Jim Martinez and wife, Barbara Magyar; Patricia Losey and husband, Paul Losey; and Stephanie Welch and husband, James Welch; 8 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; Sister-in-law, Theresa Archuleta, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and her church family.
Visitation will take place this Friday, February 3, 2017 from 6:30 PM - 7 PM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Dixon, NM, followed by a Rosary that will be recited at 7 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at the St. Anthony's Cemetery in Dixon, New Mexico.
Serving the family as Pall Bearers will be Dr. Jim Martinez, Paul Losey, Fidel Rendon, Jonathan Casias, Richard Romero, and Zachary Fermento. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Dr. Aaron Losey, Aaron Martinez, Lee Archuleta, Nicolas Martinez, All her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandchildren.
