Lugardita V. Griego

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Lugardita Griego, age 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at her home in Dixon. She was born April 01, 1925 in Las Trampas, New Mexico to parents, Edwardo and Onofre Vigil. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ernesto Griego; her daughter Sadie Griego; brothers, Enrique, Elisardo, Ernesto, Ben, and Clarence Vigil. She is survived by her sister, Oufelia Aguilar; her children Del and Elosia Velasquez, Becky and Ross Sanchez, Clyde Griego, Sadie and Hank Gabaldon. Grandchildren; Matthew and Angelina Sanchez, Yvette Hetzer, Jennifer and Joseph Lopez, Che Gabaldon and Emily, and Luanna Russo and husband Greg. Great-Grandchildren; Merina and Erick Romero, Arianna and Lucas Rodriguez, Angelica, Alicia, Isabella, Cianna Gabaldon, Alicia, Matthew and Derick Sanchez, Dominick, Makayla Russo, Julia and Jesse Lopez. Great- Great -Grandchildren; Jacob Rodriguez and Arielle, Mila and Dominick Romero. Luggie was blessed to have lived a full life and touched many people with her kindness and unwavering faith in God. She enjoyed her many grandchildren, her flowers, she was an excellent cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She loved to make people smile. Her gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten. Children and teenagers especially had a fondness for her. She will be greatly missed by many. A devotional service will take place on November 04, 2018 at 5:00pm at the Apostolic Praise Temple in Dixon with Pastor Salomon Sanchez officiating. Funeral Service will also take place at the Apostolic Praise Temple on November 5, 2018 at 10:00am; burial will follow at the Apostolic Cemetery in Dixon.
