Luis Medardo Garcia

Medardo Garcia, 75, a resident of Mesa de Poleo, passed away at his home on October 4, 2019, after a battle with heart disease.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Medardo Sr and Octabiana Garcia. Brothers; Mateo and Rudy Garcia.

Medardo is survived by a son; Wesley and his wife, Anita Trujillo, Center, Colorado.

Three grandsons; Eugene and Adam Trujillo of Denver, CO. and Derrick Trujillo (Stephanie) of Center, Colorado.

Three great-grandchildren; Jolene Trujillo, Angelina Trujillo and Malakai Trujillo.

Six sisters; Ursusina Susie Espinoza, of Espanola, NM, Sylvia Marker of Coyote, NM, Marcella Garcia of Espanola, NM, Elaiza Montoya (Norman) of Arroyo de Agua, NM, Ramona Morfin (Jose) of Salitar, NM, and Juanita Vialpando of Cañones, NM.

Nephew; Noel Vialpando, whom he loved dearly. And, many other nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Medardo enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors; hunting, fishing and gathering rocks. He was an excellent landscaper when it came to building with rocks. Anyone, who visited Medardo saw the beauty and hard work of his talent.

Medardo completed fourth year generation of single men with Medardo, Wesley, Derrick and Malakai.

Funeral service 10AM Saturday, October 12, 2019 Templo Getsemani in Salitar, NM.  Interment to follow at the Garcia Family property in Mesa de Poleo, NM.
