Lyl Oliver

Lyl Oliver, lived in Taos NM until her untimely passing on Friday, March 6th 2020 in Albuquerque NM, at Lovelace Hospital. Lyl was the child of Trudy and Michael Tafoya in Albuquerque NM.  In her life Lyl had been married from 1969-1972 before meeting her late husband, Don Oliver, marrying him in 1973 and having five kids (one from the previous marriage). As her life went on Lyl acquired many different jobs and opportunities such as working for the Bank of America in Los Angeles, California and being a dental hygienist assistant until she eventually came back to Taos and became a clerk at the Taos Municipal Courthouse. During this time Lyl also raised five children, Michael, David, Nikki, Andy, and Casey, who continue to carry on her memory along with her siblings Johnny, Hank, Joe, Dani, Beth and her mother Trudy Tafoya and grandchildren Dante, Draco, Olivia, Elizabeth, Cambria, Dagon, Trudy, Aria, Gwen, Audry, and Cienna.

Lyl Oliver’s memorial will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Rivera Funeral Home at 6 pm.
