On Saturday, November 19, 2022, Lynda (Hosac) Judd, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, returned suddenly to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family.
Lynda was greeted in heaven by her daughter Rebecca (Becca) Watkins (d. Feb 6, 2022), son-in-law Trent Johnson, niece Deanna Call, and her parents. Lynda was born May 27,1950 in Oakland CA, to Les and Elnora Hosac. She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Judd, daughter Jennifer (Scott) Newman of Los Alamos, NM, daughter Tysa (Steve) Royce of Sandy, UT, daughter Tara Johnson (Rob Mullikin) of Los Alamos, NM, son Robert “Bobby” Judd (Natasha Allen) of Los Alamos, NM, son-in-law Jon Watkins, grandchildren Scott ”Scooter”, Zach (Ashley), Jaden, Anna (Dakota), Jaryn, Shawn, Avery, Sam, Sarah, Robby, Vinny, Robyn, Eve, Reylany and brother Greg Hosac of Salmon, ID, brother-in-law Rick (Lee Ann) Judd of Chugiak, AK, and sister-in-law Sharon Ogle of Eugene, OR.
Lynda was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her whole life. She grew up in Hayward, California, graduating from Tennyson High School, later attending Ricks college in Rexburg, Idaho. She met the love of her life through church. She and Bob were married on October 17, 1970. They were one of the last couples married in the Hayward 1st Ward chapel before it burned down. They were later sealed in the Oakland temple on December 18, 1971, creating their eternal family.
Lynda’s whole world was music and her family. She had a beautiful voice and played the piano. She was the primary pianist starting at the age of 14 and was involved in music, whether church choir or in church music callings, her whole life. She passed that love on to her children and grandchildren, constantly singing and playing when the opportunity arose. Lynda was a caring loving mother! Her home was full of love and laughter and was the hangout spot for all her kids and their friends, a tradition which continued with her grandchildren and their friends. She loved her kids immensely, but her true joy was in her grandchildren. Lynda cared for many of her grandkids in her home, starting from birth and continuing through their school days after school until their parents returned home.
Lynda struggled with health issues her whole life but was a fighter. At 18 months old she underwent open heart surgery to repair a birth defect. This continued with multiple surgeries for other ailments, including one during the 4th month of her pregnancy with her only son to remove her gallbladder. Recently, she has been homebound because of her health issues. We are so grateful for all her many doctors and caregivers. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10th at 10AM, at the Los Alamos chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1967 18th Street. A viewing will precede the services from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Relief Society Room for those wishing to pay their last respects to the family.
