Magdalena was born and raised in Taos, NM. She was married to Elizardo Valerio for twenty eight years, together they had one child, Andy Valerio. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many. Magdalena was very proud and protective of her grandchildren and even more so of her great granddaughter. She was very involved with the Ranchos Presbyterian Church where she served for thirty years as treasurer for the Women’s Missionary Society. She enjoyed cooking and always insisted on preparing holiday meals alone, she never wanted anyone’s help because she wanted things done right. She loved to dance and was lucky to find a partner, Orlando Martinez, who also enjoyed dancing. Together, they would drive around to the small towns of northern NM looking for local fiestas and dance halls. They loved to travel, shop, eat out, anything to spend time together. She was a dear friend to many. She will forever be in our hearts and will forever keep us smiling when we think back to the times we shared.
Funeral service was held on November 21, 2016 at the Ranchos Presbyterian Church.
