Manuel Romero

Manuel LeRoy Romero “Papo” passed away Monday October 22, 2018. He was born in 1943 to Delferio Romero & Emelina Sandoval Romero. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his brothers, Eustacio, Del, & Delio, his brother in law, Ernest Gonzales, his infant son, James, & infant granddaughter, Alessandra. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Beatrice and their son, Leroy and wife, Esther, daughter, Alicia and husband, Danny, & their youngest son, Armando. Manuel is also survived by his brothers, Ernest and wife, Betty, Juan & wife Dorothy, sister in law, Margie, sister, Ruth & husband Leroy, sisters, Gerri, Cathy, Diana, & Charlotte, grandchildren Clorinda & Alejandro, Casandra & husband, Sage, James, Isias & wife, Diana, Pedro, Daniel, Arthur & wife, Ashley, Patrick & wife, Rachel, Christopher & wife, Destinni, Azul & Elena Bea, great grandchildren, Teresa, Manuel, Zane, Jaycee, Aspen, JulieAnna & Selena. Manuel retired from Safeway/Furr’s after a 33 year career in grocery. Manuel also drove school & charter buses beginning in 1962. He became a full time school bus contractor after his retirement and really enjoyed being with all the kids on his bus. A rosary for Manuel will be recited on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 9 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church followed by the funeral mass at 11 AM. Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home, Taos.
