Manuel Roybal age 89 born in Pojoaque on October 10, 1918, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon N. and Susanna Roybal, wife Dolores R. Roybal of 57 years and son, Manuel E. Roybal, sister, Genoveva Chavez, brothers, Luis, Jose, Filogonio, and Ernesto. He was a life time rancher and owner of Rocky Mountain Bar & Grill form 1948-1968, in Jaconita, New Mexico. He started working with livestock as a youth and was in the Army Air Corp during WWII, in Italy. He is survived by his brother, Thomas Roybal and wife Martha of Phoenix, AZ, sisters, Eleanor Langenbrunner of Santa Fe, Priscilla Sosaya and husband Augustine of San Diego, CA. Sons, Raymund A.,Wil and wife Barbara, Daughter Anna Donelle and husband Nate Ramos. Grandchildren, Christopher Roybal, Ryan Roybal, Nathan Armendariz, Amanda and husband Charles Craig, Tanya Montoya And Fiancé Daniel Ramirez, Alejandro Ramos, Eric Specht and Sydnie Lindsey, Great-grandchildren, Destiny Armendariz, Christopher and Raquel Montoya, Silas, Timothy, Ezra and Noah Craig and numerous nieces and nephew.
A rosary service will be held on Tuesday December 4, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday December 5, 2007 at 11:00 am with burial to follow at The Santa Fe National Cemetery.
