Marchetta J. Dwire

March 10, 1934 ~ January 7, 2020

Marchetta passed away while peacefully sleeping. She had been through a lot in the past couple of years.

She is preceded in death by her husband; William Dwire, parents; WB & Rayma Harper, brother; Phillip Harper and sister; Shirley Harper.

She is survived by her sister; Lucille (Joe) Swain, daughter; Marla Dwire, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bill, Marchetta and Marla moved to Santa Fe New Mexico in the mid 1960’s from Denver Colorado.

Once Marla started school, Marchetta became a volunteer library mother, soon this became her full time career. She got so much joy from working with many students at Kearney over the years. Her favorite activities were watching her Denver Broncos. She was more into football than Bill. It was always a joke that you don’t call Marchetta during her Broncos game. After the game would depend on if they won or lost you were always taking a risk.

Due to Dementia she changed but she always maintained her love for football and her love for music. Through it all she kept a happy attitude.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020  10:00 AM at Rivera Kiva Chapel of Light located at 417 Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505.

In lieu of flowers to honor Marchetta please send donations to the Building fund Light of Mission Viejo 4601 Mission Bnd, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87507
