Margaret I. Wickersham became a daughter on October 9, 1925 in Prineville Oregon. As time went by she became a wife to John, a mother to 5, a grandmother to 10 and a great grandmother to 10.
Marge as she was known to family and friends was a caregiver to anyone who needed help. She also managed to be a home maker, and the keeper of the gardens.
What Marge loved most was a clean house, beautiful scenery and her sewing machine. As she got older her sewing machine was her constant companion. She devoted a lot of time to making quilts for family and friends. Eventually she moved onto making lap quilts for Ambercare Hospice and the women’s shelter in Santa Fe. She produced over a thousand quilts which she gladly shared with anyone who needed a quilt or just fell in love with one she had made.
Our family is fortunate to have the memories of caring, sharing, and giving that she left us as her legacy. On August 4, 2018 she said goodbye and went to join the love of her life; John. Private services will be held at a later date.
The family thanks Ambercare for the loving care they provided to our Mother and our family. They smoothed the way for all of us. LOVE YOU MOM
