Margaret Loomis

Margaret C. Loomis age 97, a resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away August 31, 2016. She was born November 11, 1918 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Elsie and Edward Cartwright. She married Mr. William G. Loomis September 30th, 1938. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Elsie Cartwright, husband William G. Loomis, daughter Susan Rosborough and brothers Bill and Robert Cartwright. She is survived by her daughters Julienne Tolen of Santa Fe, NM, Carolyn George (David) of Canyon, Texas, Marian Pergola (Robert) of Santa Fe, New Mexico, 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her Grandfather Cartwright and his brother were responsible for bringing the first phone system to Santa Fe. She was co-owner of Cartwright Hardware and Plumbing. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Her home and family came first. A Viewing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 5th, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6th, 2016. Both will be at the Kiva Chapel of Light, 417 E. Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM. Interment will be Wednesday, September 7th, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
