Margarita Gonzales

Margarita J. Gonzales, 90, the last grandchild of Henia Jimenez, one of the first settlers of Rio Tesuque Village passed away January 31, 2008. She was born in Tesuque Village to Maria (Saiz) and Patricio Jimenez on July 22, 1917. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Reynaldo Gonzales, son-in-law Fernando Pena, siblings: Rosarito (Pablo Maes), Lorencita (Tomas Valdez), Ricardo (Josefita), Ruben, Eufracia, and Carlota Jimenez. In-laws: Anita and Jose, Jose Jr., Enrique, Redolfino (Estella), Alfredo, Bernardino, and Maida Gonzales, Dolores (Procopio Acuna), Juan Jose Ortega and special niece Loraine Roybal. She is survived by her daughter Maria Anna Gonzales (Pena), granddaughter Margaret "Kika" Pena (husband James Lovato), and grandson Antonio Pena. In-laws: Aurelia Jimenez, Carmen Ortega, Lucy, Toni, Sofio (Christina), and Gustavo (Maida) Gonzales, special goddaughters Rosina Romero and Marilyn Hart, nephew Paul Maes, and friend Letitia Frank. Visitation will start at 5:30 PM Sunday, February 3, 2008 with a rosary to follow at 7:00 PM at San Isidro Church in Rio Tesuque. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at San Isidro Church at 10:00 AM Monday, February 4, 2008 with interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers include Reynaldo Roybal, Donald Romero, Frank Jimenez, Paul Maes, and Bennie and Carlos Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers: Rumaldo Roybal, Tony Maes, Henry Gonzales, and Tim Valdez.
