Margarita (Margie) Romero of Santa Fe, NM has gone to be with our lord on Saturday October 15, 2022 after a long battle with dementia. She died with her husband and children by her side. Margarita is proceeded in death by both her father and mother Pete and Tillie Martinez, brother Pete Martinez Jr. she is survived by her loving husband Arthur Romero, children Kathy Cross, Mike Romero (Medi), Richard Romero, Tom Romero (Denise), Veronica Lucero (Oscar), Larry Romero (Nancy), Liz Gonzales (John), 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brother Antonio Martinez (Dolores), Sister Carmen Archuleta.

Margarita worked as the teller, loan officer for First National Bank and Federal Employees Credit Union for many years. She enjoyed family get togethers, dancing and following her children and grandchildren to all their sporting events. Thanks to hospice care nurse Tanya and aid Maria for the great care that was given to our beloved mother.

A Rosary for Margarita will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 6:00 pm the Rivera Family Kiva Chapel of Light, 417 Rodeo Rd.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Anne Parish, 511 Alicia Street, Santa Fe, with burial to follow at 12:30pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
