Margarito "Gerald" Montoya

Margarito "Gerald" Montoya, born on April 20, 1954, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, in his hometown of Santa Fe. 

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Estevan Montoya and Angelina (Angie) Montoya; his brother Steve Montoya; his sister Anna Gonzales; and his stepson Chris. He is survived by his devoted wife, Eleanor Montoya; his brother Jesse Montoya; his children Gerald Ezequiel Montoya and Sheila Montoya (Richard); two stepdaughters; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.

After a dedicated career at Eberline, Gerald retired to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep appreciation for classic cars and found joy in listening to Oldies music. His love for animals was evident to all who knew him.

 Services to honor Gerald’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Santa Maria De La Paz in Santa Fe. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place immediately afterward at Rivera Family Funeral Home.

 Gerald’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
