Maria Aguilar

Maria Juanita Aguilar was born in Rio Arriba was the sixth of ten children on November 26, 1962 and passed suddenly on July 3, 2019. Maria graduated from Escalante High school and continued with her education at El Rito Community College. Her passion in life was taking care of her of mother and father. She loved camping and being outdoors. Her grandchildren Cassandra, Marissa, and Cruzito were her pride and joys. She was go-lucky and never met a stranger.

Maria Juanita preceded in death by her daughter Estrella Martinez, her father Cruz Aguilar as well as her four brothers: David Aguilar, Daniel Aguilar, Freddy Aguilar and Martin Aguilar.

She is survived by her husband Mike Snelling, her mother Gregorita Aguilar, her son Joshua Aguilar  and companion Charity, sisters Clara(Erasmo) Blanco, Elaine(Baltazar) Soberanez, Rose(William) Murch, Mela(John) Martinez, Maryann(Anthony) Edwards, her Goddaughter Bianca Raymer and a Godson Thomas Hayes, her Godfather Vicente Mercure her nieces and nephews, Uncles and Aunts and other family members and friends and who loved and will miss her. 

Services for Maria Juanita Aguilar will be held on Wednesday July 10, 2019 starting with a Rosary at 10am followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 am at St. Joseph's Church in Los Ojos, New Mexico.
