Maria Amalia Salazar

Maria Amalia Salazar, 87, of Ranchos de Taos, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwardo and Marcelina Tafoya, husband, Juan Ramon Salazar, sons, David and Mark Salazar, grandson, Levi Salazar, sisters, Estella Swiger and Elvira Vigil.  She is survived by her children, Ramon Salazar (Cindy), Juan Salazar (Patsy), Patricia Salazar, Karen Salazar (John), Earl Salazar (Anna), James “Pimmie” Salazar (Cathy), Ron Salazar (Ricki), Dennis Salazar (Natalie), Bryan Salazar (Barbara) and Gerald Salazar (Niome), 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, brothers. Edwardo “Lalo” Tafoya and Richard Tafoya, sisters, Lorenza Ortega (Joe) and Rose Laporte (Mike), sister in-law, Teresa Gonzales, brother in-law, Wallace Salazar (Lula), many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends who she loved dearly.
