Maria Anna Gonzales, 67, was called to be with our Lord on Monday, February 1, 2016. She was born to Reynaldo and Margarita J. Gonzales and was a lifelong resident of Tesuque, New Mexico. She was devoted to her family and was a caregiver to her mother and husband. Her love was abundant and unconditional for all whom she loved. She worked for the New Mexico National Guard for 30 plus years, and retired as the Budget Officer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reynaldo Gonzales and Margarita J. Gonzales; husband, Fernando Pena, Jr.; in-laws, Connie Chavez, Frances Tapia, Johnny, Nate (Ray) and Pablo Pena.
She is survived by her daughter Margaret "Kika" Pena and husband James Lovato; son, Antonio Pena; granddaughter Hazel Pena; in-laws, Tillie, Raymond (Geraldine), Joe (Laurie), Tommy (Darlene), and Louie (Lolly) Pena, Rose (Joe) Montoya, Corine (Alex) Vargas and Jennie Aragon; and many other special relatives and friends.
Visitation will start at 5:30 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2016, with Rosary to follow at 6:30 p.m. at San Isidro Church in Tesuque. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016, San Isidro Church, with interment for Maria Anna and husband Fernando Pena, Jr. will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
