Beronice Archuleta

Maria Beronis Archuleta (aka Beronice), age 75, passed away January 6, 2022.

She was born on January 13, 1946 in Las Nutrias, NM to parents Nicholas and Anna Maria Lopez.  She married her husband Pedro of 54 years on September 23, 1964. She was a beloved wife, dedicated mother, loving grandmother, compassionate great grandmother, sister and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband Pedro Arechuleta, parents Nicholas and Anna Maria Lopez, sister Margie Duran, brother Norbert Lopez and brother Patrick Lopez. 

She is survived by her sister Rachel Walker, sister Antonia Mercure, brother Carlos Lopez, sister Rose Torrez and sister Lorraine Trujillo, daughter Beverly Archuleta Ortiz, son-in-law Martin Ortiz, son Pete Archuleta, daughter-in-law Bianca Archuleta, grandchildren, Pablo Ortiz and wife Charlotte, Annalicia Ortiz, Brianna Archuleta, Aundrea Archuleta, Pedro Archuleta, and Alejandro Archuleta, great grandchildren Eric Ortiz, Ella Ortiz, Michael Ortiz and Aileen Ortiz. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Beronis was a founder of La Clinica del Pueblo where she worked as a patient advocate for many years.  She was well respected, admirable, passionate about her work in the community and a very generous and strong woman.  Beronis enjoyed helping others and never hesitated to put the needs of others before her own. Her love for her family and friends was enormous.  She touched the hearts and lives of many and is going to be greatly missed.

There will be a celebration of life to be determined at a later date.
