Maria Aurora Medina

Maria Aurora Medina, age 90 a resident of Nambe, NM passed away on May 24, 2015. She was born on September 13, 1924 in Pojoaque, NM to Cayetano and Eustacia Garcia. She was preceded in death by her parents Cayetano & Eustacia Garcia; her husband Emelesimo Les Medina; sister, Maria de los Angeles Garcia; brothers, Wilfred Garcia, Jose Pedro Lugue Garcia; nephew, Jerry Garcia; grand-nephew, Anhel Garcia, and sister-in-law Rose Sandoval. She is survived by niece-in-law, Elvira Garcia of Nambe, NM; grand-nieces, Bonita Flor Garcia (James Alarid) of Nambe, NM; Sonrisa Ortiz y Garcia and Cristal Ortiz y Garcia of Albuquerque, NM; great-grand-niece, Santana Garcia-Alarid; great-grand-nephew, Cruz Garcia-Alarid; God daughter, Ronda Vigil; good friend Peter Samora of Espanola. Maria Aurora retired from her job in Los Alamos, NM. She was also in the quilters club in Los Alamos where she helped make blankets for the Ronald McDonald House. She always had a happy smile on her face, and greeted everyone she met with a Buenos Dias a big smile and a mischievous look in her eye. Maria Aurora was a beautiful, kind, gentle lady. A visitation will take place on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10:00 am, followed by a Eucharist Service at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, NM. Interment will take place at the Nambe Cemetery following the Service. Thank you to the staff at the Espanola Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
