Maria C. Martinez

Maria C. Martinez, age 20 of Espanola, passed away on November 2, 2011 in Espanola. She was preceded in death by her father David Max Martinez, grandfather Joe Mike Martinez, Nino Kenneth "Kenny" Vaughn-all formerly of Chimayo, aunt Isabel Jacquez and uncle Paul Salazar-formerly of Santa Cruz. She is survived by her newborn angel, son Emilio David Rascon, her companion Mario Rascon of Alcalde, mother Donna Quintana of Santa Cruz, stepfather Jay Jacquez of Abiquiu, sister Martina Pacheco of Velarde, brother Marvin Pacheco of Santa Cruz, grandparents Richard and Savina Martinez of Espanola and Isabel Martinez of Chimayo, aunts/uncles: Peter and Sophie DeAguero of Santa Cruz, Johnny and Beverly Quintana of Alcalde, Johnny and Pauline Gallegos of Santa Fe, Ricky and Diane Dominguez of Santa Cruz, Ricky and Anita Martinez of Santa Cruz, Godmother Maria Salazar of Santa Cruz, Consuelo and Brian Baca of Chimayo, and nino Michael Martinez of Chimayo, and nina Eleanor Martinez of Albuquerque, 2 nephews; Jacob Martinez, III, and Fabian Pacheco, 3 neices; Jaclynne Martinez, Savannah Pacheco and Jasmine Cisneros, and close-like neices; Annastasia and Alexis Estiambia and Jenae Martinez, and close-like nephew Angelo Romero of Santa Cruz, many close friends and other relatives. Recitation of the Rosary was on Nov. 4, 2011 in the chapel of Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola, The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on at La Iglesia De Santa Cruz De La Canada with Fr. Interment was followed at Holy Cross Cemetery with designated pallbearers: Johnny Quintana, Richard, Jacob and Timmy Martinez, Delaino Quintana, Fabian Pacheco, Julian Vaughn and Cody Chavez. Honorary pallbearers are: Shannon DeAguero, Jose DeAguero, Peter DeAguero, Jr. and Peter DeAguero, Sr., Michael and Jessica Martinez, Gilbert Marquez, Jr., Tanya Dixon, Ricky Dominguez, Sr., Kenny "Pancho" Vaughn, Clorissa Garcia, Bernadette Pacheco, Savina Rivas, Davie Gallegos and Joseph Lacquez, Jr. A 1 year anniversary mass for Maria was held on November 2, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz.
