Maria D. Cordova

Maria D. Cordova, age 82 a resident of Chamisal formerly of Kearns, Utah went into the presence of her Lord on July 21, 2015. She was born in Chamisal, NM on August of 1932 to Gabrielita and Agapito Vasquez. She was preceded in death by her first husband Alberto Romero, her second husband Fidolino Cordova, and her grandson Alfred James Gallegos. She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Gallegos (Jerry) of Ojo Sarco, NM, sons, Albert Romero (Ruth) of Roy, Utah, Randy Romero (Ella) and special niece Dora Dominguez (J.J.) of Chamisal, NM, step-sons, David Cordova, Michael Cordova and step-daughter Tina of Utah, as well as seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Serving the family as pallbearers were: Steven Romero, Alfred Romero, Cindy Romero, Randy Romero, Florencio Pacheco and Carlos Maestas. A public visitation took place on Friday, July 24, 2015 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Penasco, NM followed by a Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial took place on Saturday, July 25, 2015 also at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Penasco, NM. Interment followed at the Chamisal Community Cemetery.
