Maria Dominguez

Lydia Maria Dominguez, age 75 and a lifelong resident of Chamisal, NM, went to be with the lord on Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Lydia was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend. 

Lydia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, canning, cooking, baking, and sewing.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  Lydia is preceded in death by her husband Jacobo Dominguez, her daughter Florie Dominguez,  her mother-in-law Anita Dominguez, her parents Juan Ramon and Lioneres Sandoval, grandparents Ramon and Lucinda Sandoval and Jose Maria and Ramoncita Maestas, brothers Joe Alex and Juan Sandoval, her brother-in-laws Levi Martinez, Elmer and Paul Dominguez, uncles Theodoro, Juan Pio, Nick, Don, Tony, Eloy, and Narciso Sandoval, aunts Amelia (Sebedeo) Rodriguez, Mary Gutierrez, Cora Archuleta, and Beatrice (Frank) Pacheco, nephews Thomas Cantou, Wayne and Milton Sandoval and Ezequiel Dominguez, and Joseph Martinez. 

Lydia is survived by her children Dean (Erica), Jacobo Richard, Marilyn, Sharon, and Lorraine Dominguez, her sisters Helen Sandoval and Ramona (Tommy) Cantou, her sister-in-law Marie (Fred) Medina, brother-in-law Samuel Dominguez,  her aunt Lugarda Sandoval,  her grandchildren Jacobo, Philly, Katelyn, Ariel, and Mason, and many other relatives and friends.  Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jacobo, Philly, Katelyn, Ariel, and Mason.

A Rosary will be recited on Monday, February 17, 2020 in Penasco at the San Antonio Padua Catholic Church at 7:00PM

The Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in Penasco at the San Antonio Padua Catholic Church at 11:00AM.

Interment to follow the Mass at The Chamisal Community Cemetery.
