Maria Flores

Maria Delia Flores passed away Friday, August 26th surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She retired from the New Mexico School for the Deaf. After retirement, she was an active member at St. John’s the Baptist Church. She taught religious education, volunteered at the soup kitchen, and took the Holy Communion to those that were unable to attend church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Flores, daughter, Laura Flores-Moreno, son in law, Rudy Gonzales, grandson, David Yardman, brothers, Pelagio, Gilbert, Emery, and Orlando Campos, and her sisters, Nila Sanchez, and Marcella Campos. She is survived by her sons, Louis Flores (Donna), Leonard Flores (Carmella), Lawrence Flores (Shirley), daughter, Lucia Gonzales (Victor), brother, Max Campos (Ilene), sister in law, Anne Campos, grandchildren, Roberta Moreno (Andy), Melissa Danieli (Nick), Adam Sandoval (Jamie), Ashley Martinez (Matt), Amanda Macha (Drew), Megan, and Sarah, and great grandchildren, Jacqueline, Andres, Ayden, Koen, Jack, Lathan, Stella, Sebastian and Eli. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pallbearers will be Adam Sandoval, Andres Lopez, and Lathan Martinez. She was an amazing mother and grandmother, and will be in our hearts forever.

A Rosary for Ms. Flores will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Rivera Family Kiva Chapel of Light, 417 Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM starting at 6:00pm.

Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1301 Osage, Santa Fe, NM starting at 11:00am with burial to follow at Rosario Cememtery immiadetly after mass.
