Maria Guadalupe Romero

Maria Guadalupe “Lupe” Romero, 82, passed away peacefully at home on April 11, 2021 surrounded by her children and loving Husband of 60 years.

Lupe was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was an exceptional seamstress and worked for several dry cleaners, eventually she formed her own business and worked from home for a very exclusive list of clients. But Lupe was always most joyful spending time with her family and friends, especially her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lupe is survived by her husband Maclovio; siblings; Lillian Nieto, Roger (Jackie) Mascarenas, Sadie Dunagan, Christine Garner; children: Carla (Alvino) Mendoza, Bernie (Susie) Romero, Dorothy (Dewey) Lowe, Darlene (Victor) C de Vaca, Paulette (Marty) Muniz and Nicole Romero; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bernardino and Dulcinea Mascarenas, her beloved son Harold (Christina) Romero and siblings Otilia Tafoya, Beatrice Sanchez and Eugene Mascarenas.

Funeral services will take place Monday, April 19, 2021 at Santa Maria de La Paz Catholic Community beginning with the Rosary at 9:30 am followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 am. Burial will be immediately following at Rosario Cemetery.
