Maria Martinez

Maria Lupe Martinez Age 84 passed away November 19, 2021. She was born on November 18, 1937 to Juan and Genoveva Martinez in Chimayo, New Mexico.

Lupe is preceded in Death by her parents Juan S. and Genoveva Martinez, daughter Debbie Lopez and sons Ralph and Robert Lopez, brother Phil Martinez.

Lupe is survived by her grand-daughters Shannon Lopez of Albuquerque NM, Danielle and husband Steven Ortiz of Espanola NM, grandson Juan Lopez of Espanola NM, brother Erasmo and wife Eunice Martinez of Chimayo NM, great grandson’s Andres Lopez, Steven and Joseph Ortiz, great granddaughters Sophia and Mia Ortiz, daughter in law Mary Lopez of La Puebla, as well as her nieces.

Lupe loved her hometown of Chimayo where she spent most of her life. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a very hard worker and always helped others when needed. She absolutely loved listening to music and go dancing. She had a heart of gold and protected her family. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.
