Marilyn Beuler Our beloved Mom, Marilyn Beuler was one of 3 siblings and was born on January 13, 1937, in Mesa, AZ. She married our dad, Fred Beuler at the age of 16 in Las Vegas, NV. After our dad came back from the Korean War, they had 2 Children, Sheila and Christopher. Our Parent's raised us in Garden Grove, CA about 2 miles from Disneyland. Marilyn was mostly a stay-at-home Mom but did work part time at JCPenney and a local fabric store. They were married for 59 years until Fred passed away in 2013.
Marilyn was a skilled seamstress and made almost all of our clothes. She could fabricate anything just by looking at it. She continued to sew clothes for her kids, grandkids and neighbors until just about 2 years ago. Marilyn loved to fish with her family, ride motorcycles, camp, hike, bird hunt and rockhound. In fact, our mom had a motorcycle license years before obtaining a vehicle license. She lived a very adventurous & outgoing lifestyle with her family. Mom was also one heck of a bowler and enjoyed bowling on many leagues with my dad over her lifetime. She had a very high average, around 155, and led her teams to many state championships.
After her husband retired from Rockwell International in Anaheim, CA, they moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1989. We spent yearly vacations in Lake Havasu fishing, waterskiing and motorcycle riding from about 1972.They thought this would be the perfect place to spend their retirement together. It was. They continued to fish together weekly on our family boat, "Beuler's Day Off." They had a freezer dedicated to all of the stripped bass they caught together! Following their passion for bowling, Mom worked part-time at Havasu lanes for many years while she and Dad continued to participate in many bowling leagues together.
Marilyn continued to live in Lake Havasu City until moving to Santa Fe, NM in September 2024. Mom passed away peacefully on the morning of January 23, 2025. During her time at the Kingston Residence of Santa Fe, she had developed many friendships with the staff and residents. She was surrounded daily by family and remained lucid, joyful, and content until her passing. We are grateful for the abundant love and care she was surrounded with. Rest in love and peace, Mom. You will forever remain"the best mom in the world" to us.
