Marissa "Riss" Mares

Marissa M. Mares, 28 of Taos, NM became one of our heavenly angels on January 27, 2022. Marissa is preceded in death by her father, George Mares. She is survived by her grandparents, Danny and Lorraine Ruiz, mother, Lupita Garcia, brothers, Kevin Mares, Lance Ruiz, Daniel Ruiz (Carmen), and  Eugene Ruiz, sister, Kimberley Mares, nephews, Sebastian and Joaquin Ruiz, nieces, Aubrey and Abigail Padilla and Kevina Mares. Riss was a passionate photographer. She had a gift for capturing the vivid scenery of New Mexico. She blessed family and friends alike with her kind heart and her gentle personality. Riss holds the ultimate special place in all our hearts. She will be forever missed, but her memory lives on. On through the awakening of the mornings hush to the soft stars that shine at night.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday February 4th, 2022 at 11AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will be held at a later date.
