Marjory Merscher

Marjory Merscher, 92, of Taos passed away on April 8, 2016. Margy passed away peacefully under excellent hospice care at the Taos Living Center. She was a successful single mom with two boys starting in 1958 with great help from friends and family. She studied fencing, bellydancing, acted and sung in amateur musical theater and went on many elderhostel trips in her later years. Her personal Christian beliefs were strong yet she respected other religious styles. She was a very engaging and funny person who will be missed by her family, friends and the nurses at the TLC. She is preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and Herman Garson, husband, Harry L. Merscher Jr. and sister, Joan Ponton. She is survived by her sons, Peter and John Merscher and brother, Kent Garson. No public services are planned at this time. Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home.
