Martin Valdez

Mr. Martin "King-Marts" Valdez, age 54 of Alcalde, NM. went to his eternal rest on Monday April 23, 2012. He was born in Espanola in 1958 to the union of Aquilino and Matilde Valdez, and worked primarily in building construction. He was preceded in death by his parents, and also brother Monty Trujillo. He is survived by sons; Matias Valdez and wife Michelle of Alcalde, Aquilino Valdez, Jr. of Albuquerque, and Joshua Valdez and fiance' Jenae of Albuquerque., siblings; Tita Herrera and husband Sam, Alex Valdez and wife Connie, all of Alcalde, Denise Coriz and husband Ray of Cebolla, Aquilino Valdez, Jr. of La Villita, and Rachael Trujillo of Santa Fe, grandchildren; Sean, Xavier, Angelyn, Rayleen, Jenae and Arianna, caregiver Blanca Quintana, and other beloved relatives and friends. A visitation and rosary were held on April 26, 2012 at the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel in Espanola. A second rosary was recited on April 27, 2012 at Santo Nino Catholic Church in Cebolla where the mass of Christian burial immediately followed. Honarary pallbearers: Robert, Ronald, Tommy and Eugene "Gino" Rodella, Lawrence and Robert Aragon, Eddie James Maes, and Ray & Jonathan Coriz.
