Marvin Cassidy Gladin was born in Detroit, MI on August 18th, 1920. He and his wife Jo Ann moved to Pilar in 1963. He is survived by his wife JoAnn, three daughters, JoAnne, Penny and Melody and two sons Jim and Bryan. He is also survived by his two older brothers, Carl and Leo, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Paul and daughter Shirley. He was a paratrooper in the Army during World War ll. Marvin was proud of his home in Pilar and was loved by many friends and community members. He enjoyed fishing and camping and cooking for the family and held many social events in his kitchen over the years. He loved the philosophy of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayam. He passed away peacefully in his home on January 8th, 2010. He requested no services be held and no flowers be sent. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by many.
