Mary Alice Chavez

Mary Alice Chavez, October 22, 1954-October 27, 2016. A loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, co-worker and friend who was cherished by everyone who loved her passed away on October 27th. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ramon and Tillie Chavez, and her brother and pillar of strength Sam Chavez. She is survived by her son Gabriel Chavez, wife Murie and granddaughters, Montana, Taylor and Autumn who were the loves of her life; Brothers and sisters; Faustin (Dolores) Chavez, Andy Chavez, Eddie (Betty) Chavez, Patricia (John) Matchison, Theresa Chavez, Anna Bell (Jim) Hesch, Jeanette Chavez (Luis), Jim Chavez, and Linda Anaya; Goddaughter Vanessa Coriz and many nieces and nephews. Mary Alice touched the lives of all with her compassionate, nurturing and loving nature. She was a dedicated and tireless employee at Professional Home health Care for 30 years where she positively impacted the lives of her patients and always performed above and beyond the call of duty. A special thank you to her neighbors, the Valencia And Cardenas families who were always there to lend a helping hand in her time of need. We will celebrate her life on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe Christian Church, 2860 Cerrillos Rd. Interment will follow at the Galisteo Cemetery in Galisteo, NM immediately following the service. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the love and support they have received during this difficult time. Arrangements are under the direction of Rivera Family Funeral Home.
