Mary Alice Lopez-Parra, age 59 of Velarde died peacefully on Monday October 5, 2009. Mrs. Parra is survived by her son Harold Eugene Sanchez of Velarde, daughter Bernadine Gonzales of Los Lunas, parents Joe E. and Dulcinea Lopez of Velarde as well as nine grandchildren and other relatives and friends. A public visitation will-not be held however recitation of the rosary will be on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Morada in Lyden. This will be the only service taking place for Mary Alice.
