Mary M. Chavez, born on Feb. 6, 1916 to Elviria and Teofilio Medina expired on January 8, 2008. Mary is survived by her daughter Belle Ortiz, son Robert (Bob) Silva, grandchildren, James and Janelle Silva, Stephanie Vaughn and her husband Ryan, one great-granddaughter, Sienna Vaughn, sister Peggy Sanchez and husband Max of Albuquerque, brothers, Teofilio Medina and wife Eppie, Johnny Medina and wife Cora of Alcalde, and sister Rose Martinez of Denver, CO. Mass of Christian burial will be offered this morning at 9:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Santa Fe, 1301 Osage Ave. Viewing will be held from 10:30am- till noon at Santa Fe Funeral Options with burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
