Mary Dominguez

Mary S. Dominguez, 73, a native of Chamita died Monday, May 26, in her home after a lengthy illness. Preceding her in death were her parents, Anastacio and Rosa Garcia and a son, Chris Dominguez. She is survived by her husband, Jose Iginio Dominguez, two daughters, Jean Ann Dominguez-Gallegos from Rio Rancho and Rosemarie and husband Leroy Valdez from Chamita. Grandchildren include Chris and John Gallegos, Rio Rancho; Barbara and husband David Martinez, Rio Rancho; Margaret and husband Johnny Whetsell, Rio Rancho; Matthew and wife, Rosemarie Valdez, Ojo Caliente; Amy Valdez, Albuquerque; Krista and husband Michael Salazar, Albuquerque. She is also survived by a sister, Doloritas Martinez, Chamita and daughter-in-law, Bettina Dominguez, Albuquerque. Great grandchildren include, Christopher and John (Jay) Gallegos; Alyssa, Kaitlyn, Elizabeth and Johnny Whetsell; Gabriella, Aaron and David Martinez; Samantha, Isaiah, and Larry Valdez; and Michaela Salazar. Brothers and sisters-in-law include Archie and Bessie Herrera, Atlanta, GA; Flora Quintana, Sacramento, CA; Fred Jaramillo, Sacramento, CA; Cecilio and Josina Herrera, El Guique; Johnny and Elma Duran, Santa Cruz; and Luisita Sanchez, Penasco. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at the family home in Chamita on Friday, May 30 at 1:00 pm. Interment of cremains will be at approximately 2:00 pm at the San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita following the Celebration of Life. The Rivera Family of Block-Salazar Mortuary.
