Mary E. Trujillo

Mary Esnedina Trujillo, 86, passed away on Christmas morning 2015 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Jacinto and Pablita Romero; her brothers Ubaldo, Frank, Marcelo, Audelio, and Arsenio Romero; and her sister Bernie Fernandez. Mary is survived by her companion of 35 years, Elias Gomez and his family; sisters in law, Teresa Romero, Rose Romero, Sabinita Herrera and Bertha Trujillo; and caretaker, Sabinita Aragon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was lovingly referred to as "Tia Esne" by her nieces and nephews. She was born and raised in Truchas, NM and later moved to Chimayo. She spent many years employed by Hilltop Hotel in Los Alamos. In her younger years, Mary enjoyed cooking and baking, going on hunting trips with Elias, and especially selling their produce at the Farmer's Market in Espanola where they made many friends. She also enjoyed spending winters in Mexico with Elias. Tia Esne was a kind and loving person who will be missed dearly. A Rosary will be held at Rivera Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 7:00 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with interment to follow at Nuestra Senora de Dolores Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Merenciano Fernandez, Rudy Romero, Vicente Romero, Nick Romero, Elias Gomez, and Elias G.
