Mary Frances Lopez

Mary Frances Romero Lopez, 90, passed away June 17, 2021 surrounded by family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, love of her life, and father of her children Paul F. Romero Sr., second husband Charlie Lopez, son Phillip Romero, grandsons Jerome Romero, Paul Frank Romero III, parents Andres and Filomena Martinez, brothers Gilbert Martinez (Frances), Carlos Martinez, sisters Lourdes Pacheco (Andy), and Olivia Garcia (Arthur). 

Frances is survived by her children Paul Frank Romero Jr. (Adella), Vivian Romero, Bobby Romero, Carmella Romero Gurule (Art), and Joe Pat Romero.  Brother Florencio Martinez (Louise), Sister in Law Ruth Martinez.  Grandchildren: Lynette Ojinaga Akinson (Sam), Matthew Ojinaga (Stephanie), Samantha Ellman (Jason), Ashley Romero, Eric Romero, Jolene Otero, Felicia Gurule, Lucas Romero and Jacob Romero.  Great grandchildren: Marissa, Marcos, Layla, Jadon, Azleah and Kaylee. 

A rosary will be recited Monday, July 12, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Rivera Kiva Chapel of Light, in Santa Fe.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. St. Anne’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers: Matthew Ojinaga, Lucas Romero, Jacob Romero, Jadon Mendoza, Marcos and Marissa Enriquez. 

The family would like to thank Del Corazon Hospice, staff members Tony, Betty Lou and Myra for the loving care they provided and Enchanted Care Solutions who provided moms wonderful caregivers Holly, Matilda, Mary and Felicia.
