Mary Janus

Mary Beth Janus walked into the arms of her Savior on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Mary is now in her heavenly home after a valiant battle with a difficult illness. 

Mary was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on May 23, 1964. Mary grew up in Wisconsin with her parents, father Anton Vincent Janus and mother, Mary Ellen Doemel and her siblings. Mary has a loving sister who still lives in Wisconsin. 

Mary was a devoted Christian, who was deeply loved by her church family, and was always a source of great encouragement to those around her. Mary was a hard worker, served as a caregiver in Wisconsin for 10 years and later, worked for the highway department for the state of New Mexico. Mary was a very strong person, athletic, but also had a very playful side, loved animals, being in the outdoors and was always very kind and generous with people.

Mary had a beautiful spirit, was always full of life as she would joyfully ride around on her scooter with a big smile. 

Many who knew Mary can testify that her greatest joy was worshiping her Lord and Savior, hands lifted high, singing, and praising her best friend in this life, the king of Kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ.

Mary will be deeply missed by all those who knew her, but also look forward to meeting her again in the gates of Heaven. 

There will be a celebration of life service for Mary on February 2, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at her home church of Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Santa Fe.
