Mary Jones

Mary Hains Jones, wife of Dr. Ralph H. Jones, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on May 22, 2008 from Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS). Mary was born in Marshall, MO in 1921. She met the love of her life in kindergarten. After graduation from SMU, she and Ralph married in 1944. The have been residents of Santa Fe for almost 50 years. Mary was a member of Fifteen Club for 35 years and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children and their spouses: daughters; Carolyn Minton and husband Tom, and Susan Verardo and husband Art and son John L. Jones and wife Janice. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services have yet to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations be made in the name of Mary to MDA-ALS Clinic, Department of Neurology, MSC 10 5620, 1 University of NM, Albuquerque NM, 87131 or to PMS Hospice Center, 1400 Chama Ave, Santa Fe, NM , or charity of your choice.
