Mary F. Mascareñas

April 19, 1943 - February 12, 2024

Mary F. Mascareñas was called home by our heavenly father on Feb. 12, 2024. Mary was born in Sapello, N.M. on April 19, 1943.

A few years after graduating from Robertson High, she went on to marry her Valentine, Gene Mascareñas. Together they made their home in Santa Fe and raised a family.

Mary is proceeded in death by her loving husband Gene, of 49 years; and parents, Pedro and Carmalita Salazar.

She is survived by her children, Daren (Grace), Brian (Barbara), and Adrian (Jessica); grand- children, Joseph, Mark, Jessica, and Skylar; great grandchild Layla and Manuel; and many brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and friends who loved her dearly.

A Rosary will be recited at Rivera Family Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024 at 6 p.m., following visitation at 5 p.m. A Catholic Mass will be held on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024 at Santa Maria De La Paz Church, 11 College Ave., at 9 a.m. followed by burial services at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11 a.m.
