Mary Montoya

Mary Montoya, 79, of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away on March 25, 2022.  She was born on November 9, 1942 in Santa Fe, NM to Inez Gonzales and Francisco Gonzales.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Tommy Montoya, Parents; Inez and Francisco Gonzales, 10 brothers and sister.

She is survived by her son; Thomas (May) Montoya, daughters; Yvonne (Kenneth) Roybal, Doreen (Gerald) Rael, Denise Montoya, Amy Montoya, sister; Cecilia (Mike) Garcia, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Lynn grew up in Lamy, NM with her siblings and her nieces and nephews. She always loved serving others and made a big impact on the patrons she waited on or the kids she served while working as the Kitchen Manager at Santa Fe Public Schools. Mary Lynn retired in 2012 to move to Rio Rancho with her youngest daughter, Amy. She always treasured the times family would come to visit so she could cook or bake for them and make their favorites such as her tortillas with beans and her Biscochittos. She enjoyed sewing and embroidering, and spoiling her beloved dog, Rocky. She also loved visiting with her sister, Cecilia and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Many people loved Mary Lynn. She adopted several people and asked about them daily and they always asked about her. She truly touched many lives.

Friday, April 8, 2022 at Santa Maria de la Paz. 9:30 a.m. Rosary, 10:00 a.m. Memorial Mass.
