Margaret Mary Quintana “Margie”

Has gone to be with our Lord on September 03,2021 following a lengthy illness.

Margaret was born in Santa Fe, NM on August 30, 1951 to George and Pablita Hurtado.

Margaret was married for 47 years to her devoted husband Dennis E Quintana.

Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Margaret enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her pride and joy grandchildren. She loved to watch her “Tiago” wrestle or Aaron and Jay play basketball and baseball, her little “Kaylita” do gymnastics and most recently loved to see her little James crawl and start taking his first few steps.

Margaret had a passion for helping people always thinking of others. Margaret worked in the medical field for 30+ years before retiring to start her next challenging job of being grandma.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents: George and Pablita Hurtado; brother, Ray Hurtado; in laws, Frank and Mary Quintana.

She is survived by her husband: Dennis E Quintana, son’s Dennis and wife Gabriela Quintana, John, and wife Anita Quintana, sisters Grace Valdez, Susie Saiz, Bernadette Ortiz, Irma and husband Rene, 5 grandkids; Santiago, Aaron, Kayla, Jayden and James, many nephews, nieces, aunts and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Santiago Quintana, Aaron, Lee Quintana, Leon Montoya, Phillip Valdez, Manny Saiz. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Kayla, Jayden and James Quintana.

Holy rosary for Mrs. Quintana will be prayed on Friday, September 10, 2021 beginning at 7PM at Rivera Family Funeral Home of Espanola. Family will have a private family visitation. Mass will be Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz at 11AM, with interment at The Holy Cross Cemetery to follow.
