Our mom was absolutely the most amazing, loving, strong, sincere, soft spoken, creative, insightful, smart, funny, up for anything, a woman who loved life, and our Lord. Mary was gorgeous, forgiving, and a magnificent woman, she was our matriarch and was everything to us growing up and all throughout our adult life. Mom was our world, and we cannot imagine how this life will continue without her. Mom always had a smile and touched so many.
Mom worked in retail grocery stores beginning at Skaggs Alpha Beta and proceeded to Albertsons where she worked for over 30 years up to her retirement. Over the years, mom met so many friends through her career and through her children.
In 2002, mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and had battled this cancer for 19 years. During these times she was so strong, positive, and never gave up.
Mom was treated and loved by all staff at the Cancer Center throughout the 19 years, and we would like to thank each one of them you for taking the best care of our mom, beginning with; Andrea Teague (MD), Tim Lopez (MD), Kathryn Chan (MD), Brian Goss (MD), Anna Voltura (MD), Jennifer Porter (NP), Ryan Commiskey (NP), and in the Chemo Suite: Ieleen Garcia (special friend and always took care of mom), Carolyn Gonzales, Yeimy Antillon, Mary Kay Hewitt, Christa Woods, Paula Reeves, Kris Gamble, Veronica Kirby, Andrea Duran, Tim Schut, and in Radiation: Marsha Padilla, Ellaine Haroz, in the Lab: Yvonne Sanchez, Cathy Holmes, and the reception desk: Chris Flores, Alexina Ortiz, Annette Pomroy, and Sabrina Romero.
