Mary Rocha

Flora passed away peacefully in her home on May 22nd, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 1, 1945 in Santa Fe to Avelino Pete and Paublita Moya. Her beloved husband of 51 years, Ernest Rocha Jr. and their son Derrick Rocha diligently cared for her through her lengthy illness. Flora had an extensive career that included work in the legal and social service fields, and managing the La Fonda Newsstand for 15 years. She was a doting mother, a devoted wife and a gracious friend to so many. She will always be remembered for her warm and open home, her quick wit and hearty laughter and her phenomenal cooking! Flora is survived by her husband Ernest; their children, Dennis, Valerie, Renee and Derrick; her grandchildren, Nicolas, Xavier, Isaiah, Matthias, William, Desiree, Marisol and Jasmine; her siblings, Pete Moya Jr., Paul Moya (Clara), Francis Vigil (Max), and Harold Moya Sr. as well as numerous relatives and lifelong friends. A viewing will be held at Santa Maria de La Paz on Tuesday June 2nd at 6:00pm with rosary to follow. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday June 3rd at 10:00am, also at Santa Maria De La Paz, with interment at 3:00pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
