Mary Tafoya

Mary “Mamie” Tafoya, 69, of Albuquerque and formerly of Taos passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2020.  She is preceded in death by her father, Willie Espinoza, grandfather, Francisco Tafoya, grandmother, Amalia Espinoza and aunt, Toni Jacobs.  She is survived by her beloved companion, Robert Baca, mother, Loren Sanchez, children, Louann Castillo (Paul), Luis Tafoya (Linda) and Louella Tafoya, grandchildren, Paul Jr. (Mariah), Josh (Bryanna), Vanessa (Rick), Gabriella (Santi), Estevan, Faith, Sara and Vicente, great grandchildren, Paul III, Aubrey, JayLynn, Autumn and Brooklynn, aunt, Celina Romero (Lee), uncles, Gilbert and Eli Tafoya, 2 brothers, 6 sisters, many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including her best friend, Tina Webster.  Mary was very passionate about spending quality time with her grandchildren and great children who have many great memories of their “Mamie.”

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 10 AM at Rivera Chapel.  Interment will follow at the Talpa Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be Paul Castillo Jr., Josh Castillo, Estevan Garcia, Vicente Tafoya, Santi Cordova and Rick Triana, Honorary Pallbearer is Paul Castillo III.  Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home, Taos.  To share a memory, please visit our website at www.
